I'm ready to go live with the SRES® class.  Here is the official notification.  Please note that there are 3 separate notices, one for newbie agents that will be taking it for the first time, those of you who already have the designation and will be using it as a refresher, and for lenders.  Each one has a different way to register so keep that in mind.  I am sending you all 3 to get you to attend and to invite others.  I still need 30 people to run the class, but I think I have a shot at it now with the low price and the refresher.  I could really use your support.  Do not have people register with me, I will only send them to CAR.  Here it is......

While the SRES® class is normally taught at a local Association of REALTORS®, this time C.A.R. Education, in conjunction with Alameda AOR, Berkley AOR, Contra Costa AOR, North Bay AOR and Silicon Valley AOR, will offer the class at Moldaw Family Residences, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Palo Alto. http://www.899charleston.org.   This incredible community will give REALTORS® a first-hand experience on what senior living is all about.  Besides a tour of the campus, the community will provide lunch both days.  All for the extremely low class price of $200.  Space is limited.  Sign up early!  This course is accredited for 12 hours CE credit in Consumer Protection.

Mortgage lenders are getting more Seniors for clients lately as the aging process produces a need for new housing and services for many of them.  And of course, reverse mortgages are a key tool in the Senior Market.  Lenders need to know the ins and outs of these clients, reading their needs, understanding their actions and thoughts on selling and buying new housing.  Mastering this process takes special skill and knowledge.  The SRES® course gives you that knowledge to help with the special needs of the Senior client.  Financing is a major part of the moving process and can be very confusing and frustrating to Seniors.  The class helps not only with the touchy-feely aspects of working with Seniors, but imparts the vast field of resources, services, and agencies to allow you to help solve their relocation problems.
